Glacier mass balance is assessed in crevasses such as this on Easton Glacier.  Note the horizontal horizon marking the 2007 summer surface with 3 .2 m of 2008 winter snowpack on top.


2013 Field Season : 
The winter of 2012-13 has yielded  April 1 SWE that are slightly below average from Snoqulamie Pass to Cascade Pass, and above slightly above average north of Highway 20.  Unlike the previous three springs, 2013 has not been below average in temperature to date. In the next three weeks we will planning the 2013 field season.
